About

Caye Caulker

Caye Caulker, also known as La Isla Cariñosa, is separated by approximately one mile of blue water from the second largest barrier reef in the world! Caye Caulker is a small white sand island four miles long and barely a thousand feet wide, and is part of a chain of islands forming the Belize Barrier Reef. The population of the island is approximately 2500

The reef is about a mile east of the island, creating a protected area of water between the reef and the eastern side of the island. The warm clear water invites you to step right in.

Caye Caulker has a relaxing atmosphere with white sand streets and golf carts and bicycles for transportation. There are many restaurants and shops and guests thoroughly enjoy Caye Caulker’s friendly and easy-going atmosphere.

There are several mini supermarkets that are well stocked and the local pharmacy is also very reliable should you have any medical needs.

Everything is within walking distance but you can rent golf carts (with a valid driver’s license) for US$75 a day or bicycles for US$8 a day.
